Cundall’s Birmingham office triumphed at the CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2015 Share this article

Cundall is delighted to announce that the Birmingham office, Cathedral Court, won the Lighting for Building Performance Award at the CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2015 which took place on the 10th February.

Cundall’s Birmingham office has recently relocated to prime office space in the heart of Birmingham's central business district. Cundall Light4 has embraced the latest research and guidance in lighting for people, lighting the tasks and providing specific lighting solutions for specific tasks and each area of the office. This has resulted in the lowest lighting energy consumption we have ever achieved at just under 4W/m2 and at the moment, the lowest we have experienced for this sector. Click here to read the full project profile.

Craig Winter, Partner, accepted the award on Cundall’s behalf and commented: “Not only was it exciting to collect the award on Cundall’s behalf, but this is a new category for CIBSE Building Performance Awards. Many attendees congratulated us on our success and it was fantastic to be highlighted to our peers at this prestigious event."

Cundall was pleased to receive high praise from the judges: “This scheme breaks the general mould and is a significant achievement to make it work in a landlord-owned building."

We would like to give special thanks to the project team which included: Cundall Light4, Peter Grant Associates, Overbury and RLB.
