Cundall is pleased to announce that its Manchester office will be supporting Reuben’s Retreats Charity on refurbishing its inspirational facilities in the Peak District.
Reuben’s Retreat is a charity that was born in memory of Reuben Michael Graham who tragically passed away aged 23 months. The charity’s goal is to provide a retreat that will give solace and support to families and their close friends who have suffered the bereavement of a child or have a child suffering from a life limiting or life threatening illness.
Cundall’s Manchester office will be providing structural engineering and specialist lighting design on a charitable basis for the refurbishment of the hospital building, “The Lodge at Reuben’s”, a structure dating back to 1889 and formerly known as Woods Hospital.
The new facilities will include a hydrotherapy suite, sensory room, movie room, day care activity wing (wellbeing and day care), reception, office area, and new accommodation. The multi-million pound, 10-phase project is expected to be complete by 2020.
Lee Leston-Jones, Partner, commented “It is a great joy to be able to support the Reuben’s Retreat Charity with this project, and I know that, once completed, the facility will provide much needed support to families for years to come.”
