Cundall has joined the City of London Air Quality Champion programme. The commitment is designed to support the City of London in their pioneering endeavours to improve air quality.
Through the CityAir Business Engagement Programme, the City of London has been working with city businesses to develop a list of simple, effective actions that can be taken by companies to help improve air quality in the square mile. Businesses can influence the local environment by monitoring air quality, reducing emissions associated with deliveries through supply chain management, building management and employee awareness.
Cundall has committed to four pledges:
- Communication – Raising the profile of air quality
- The built environment – Reducing gas consumption and installing low NOx technology
- Transportation – Promoting walking and cycling to staff and visitors
- Supply chain – Reducing the number of deliveries servicing the businesses
Alan Fogarty, Sustainability Partner, commented, “The City of London is taking an active role in trying to improve the situation of air quality. Cundall is proud to do its part to support an initiative which addresses our own staff in the City, and supports our efforts to advocate for change from our industry, our clients and our government.”
