Cundall has demonstrated its continued commitment to a sustainable built environment by upgrading its membership with the UK Green Building Council (UK-GBC) to Gold Leaf.
As the world’s first consultancy to be formally endorsed as a One Planet Company by sustainability charity Bioregional, Cundall’s membership upgrade with the UK-GBC is one of many examples of how Cundall continues to grow its reputation as a sustainable practice.
In December 2015, Cundall’s London office moved to its new location at One Carter Lane, opposite St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of the City of London. What made this move unique is the new office space, the first in Europe to implement the WELL Building Standard®.
In February 2016, Cundall announced the appointment of Amie Shuttleworth as their new Global Head of Sustainability in order to focus on developing Cundall’s global sustainability strategy whilst further advancing the strengths of Cundall’s sustainability consulting services around the world.
More recently, Cundall was named Consultancy of the Year at the edie Environment & Energy Awards 2016. During the awards ceremony, Luke Nicholls, edie Editor, commented “The Environment & Energy Awards are about recognising the success of the green economy, and celebrating the companies that are setting the standard when it comes to doing business better.”
The UK-GBC Gold Leaf membership upgrade is an exciting development for Cundall as it is a mutually beneficial relationship for both parties. Not only is Cundall able to take advantage of all the exciting Gold Leaf membership benefits such as an in-depth annual sustainability review, access to the UK-GBC’s Learning and Development team and direct access to the UK-GBC Policy Team, the membership also allows Cundall to inform and influence Government policy on sustainability for the benefit of the environment, Cundall’s staff and their clients.
