Cundall has reopened their Brisbane office to strengthen their presence in Queensland. The office is headed by Cundall’s David Collins and offers sustainable design, building services and acoustic consultancy.
The move follows a number of recent project wins that build on an impressive portfolio of projects including 480 Queen, a 6 Star Green Star office building for Dexus and Grocon, and the University of Queensland’s Oral Health Centre with Cox Architecture, which recently won the AIA’s National Award for Sustainable Architecture.
“With offices in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia, Queensland was an obvious gap” explains Cundall Director, David Clark. “We have seen an increase in the number of our national clients asking us to deliver projects in Queensland and with signs that the market is improving we decided it was a good time to open a new office in Brisbane.”
David Collins will lead the office and has worked at Cundall for ten years in Sydney and Singapore. He has delivered many challenging and award-winning projects, and has strong skills in sustainable buildings in humid climates, energy analysis and improving building performance.
"It is exciting that we already have a number of new projects in Queensland, a Green Star rating for a new shopping centre, urban comfort modelling for a CBD commercial office and assessment of the environmental performance of building construction materials" said David Collins. “I’m looking forward to growing the team in Brisbane by delivering high quality sustainable engineering solutions”
