Cundall has been awarded the engineering and design contract for a new data centre in The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
HKUST intends to build a new next generation smart & green data centre to meet the demand on campus. Cundall has been appointed as the lead consultancy to provide building services, architectural and quantity surveying services to HKUST. The project will involve difference phases including restacking the existing live data centre to vacate the new data centre area. As the existing data centre supports all the IT facilities on the campus, it was hugely important to HKUST to remain operational throughout the works with zero interruptions.
Cundall has a strong track record in low energy critical systems design. Its global team has designed major data centres in the UK, Europe and Asia Pacific. More recently, Cundall has been working with Facebook on their first European data centre and Digital Realty for Jurong Data Centre in Singapore.
