Cundall Hong Kong is awarded the HKGBC Towards Low Carbon & Healthy City Award by the Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC). We are pleased to know that HKGBC recognises our sustainable contribution to the industry and environment.
Established in 2009, The Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC) is a not-for-profit and member led organisation, which strives to promote the standards and developments of sustainable buildings in Hong Kong. The HKGBC aims to raise green building awareness by engaging the public, the industry and the government, and to develop practical solutions for Hong Kong’s unique, subtropical built environment of high-rise, high density urban area, leading Hong Kong to become a world’s exemplar of green building development.
The aim of this award is to encourage the industry to develop a low carbon city and healthy environment in buildings by means of retro-commissioning, green and healthy office design strategies.
Over the year, Cundall Hong Kong has enthusiastically been involved as both participant and guest speaker at various seminars, workshops held by HKGBC. We hereby highlight our support to the organisation’s pilot study on “Implications of Healthy Indoor Environment for Benefiting the Wellbeing and Productivity of Building Occupants”. This study is significant to the building of database for investigating the relationship between indoor environmental and occupants’ health and wellbeing. As one of the supporting participants, we are presented with the award for our notable contribution in effort and time.
Cundall has placed sustainability at heart of our business. We foster collaboration and creativity as we are driven by the consideration of people first. We use our ideas and in-house research to prove by example that 'being sustainable' and commercial pragmatism can happily co-exist. Together with HKGBC, we are joining to promote low carbon and healthy city in and outside Hong Kong.
