Amie Shuttleworth, Global Head of Sustainability, has been named in Bioregional’s list of ’12 inspiring women in sustainability’ to celebrate International Women’s Day 2017.
Bioregional, a charity whose aspirations are to champion a better, more sustainable way to live, invited staff to share the women that have inspired them in their work in the sustainable movement. Claire Brady, Commercial Development Manager at Bioregional nominated Amie saying; 'Amie is very committed to ensuring that Cundall seizes the opportunity to be true leaders in sustainability. She is doing this by ensuring that staff and projects have the information they need to provide the best sustainable solutions to its clients.'
Amie commented 'I am delighted to be nominated in celebration of International Women's Day. It is a subject close to my heart having spent my career in a male dominated environment. It really is an occasion for looking back on past struggles and achievements, but more importantly, for looking to the untapped potential and opportunities that await the women of today.'
Amie joined Cundall a year ago and has spearheaded our internal sustainability strategy which includes developing a two year sustainable design course called the 'Cundall diploma' of which over one hundred of our designers are enrolled, the 'Beyond Tool' which uses the ten one principles of One Planet Living to create tailored reports to improve the performance of the project for our clients - which we now provide for free, as well as our One Planet Living dashboard - informing and influencing the behaviour of our staff around the world.
