Join Cundall’s Young Engineers Society (YES) for a seminar on the current trend of health and wellbeing in the built environment including case studies on the WELL standard and our recently accredited Gold standard office.
Our speakers who will facilitate the discussion, will be Simon Wyatt, Sustainability Associate Director at Cundall and Niall McEvoy, Business Development Manager at Scotscape.
Simon Wyatt, Sustainability Associate Director at Cundall, will talk about the importance and benefits of designing buildings with health and wellbeing in mind. He will describe Cundall’s experience of delivering the first project in Europe to achieve WELL Certification, as well as a number of other case studies where health and wellbeing has been at the centre of the design.
Niall McEvoy, will discuss living walls including the history, uses in the environment as well as studies and tests on their benefits and the effect they have on pollution and air quality. Niall will then talk about the benefits of biophilia, construction and design ideas as well as irrigation of green walls and various case studies
The seminar will be accompanied by a Q&A and networking session.
