Cundall's 2019 World Green Building Week event will focus on the 2028 Net Zero Carbon target for Manchester.
One of the key commitments of the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework is the target for all new buildings to be net zero carbon by 2028.
Whilst that is an admirable science-based target, the fine details of this road map remain vague. So, is the delivery of a zero carbon future for the Manchester city region feasible? Is the national infrastructure in place to support this? What does 'zero carbon' really mean? And how can future developments respond to this commitment?
