Part L 2014 - A Significant Step to Nearly Zero?

In this seminar, Alan Fogarty, Sustainable Partner, reviewed the major changes within the Approved Document L April 2014, including and introducing the Fabric Energy Efficiency Standard (FEES), a summary of the implications of the carbon reduction targets to different buildings, the importance of thermal bridging for domestic buildings and what is the relevance of the carbon reduction targets in the context of other requirements, such as planning.

Part L 2010: Rethinking Building Design

Part L 2010 will come into force in October 2010 and will apply to most new developments that have not had a substantial start on site prior to this date. The formal changes to Part L will be released in April 2010. A document detailing the proposals identified in the consultation document is available for download within the publications page.
