Chloe Agg, Senior Engineer, spoke on the 24th April at the Women’s Forum at the National Engineering & Construction Recruitment Exhibition on the perceived barriers to women both in the industry and joining it.
She drew on her own experiences and demonstrating how these ‘barriers’ can be overcome or dismissed. Chloe’s presentation also discussed the reasons why she loves engineering and how she finds it engaging and inspiring.
This event offers women at all stages of their career the chance to share experiences, make new contacts, and hear about exciting new vacancies. The Women in Engineering Forum provides an invaluable networking opportunity in what can be a tough, male dominated industry.
After the presentations, a networking lunch was arranged, to which visitors were welcome, giving them the opportunity to speak informally to both the speakers and a host of engineering professionals. Chloe hosted a table at the lunch.
The Women in Engineering forum was free to attend and places are reserved on a first come, first served basis, so arrive early to avoid disappointment! To register your place click here.
