On Friday 8 April, Alan Fogarty, Sustainability Partner will be speaking at the Next Generation Buildings conference taking place in Bucharest, Romania.
The event is being organised by the Romania Green Building Council (RGBC) and ROMEXPO and is being held over four days. The conference will include a series of seminars and exhibits dedicated to improving the safety, health, comfort and value of Romania’s homes and community buildings. Exhibits will show innovative green home solutions, ideas for better renovations, bringing ‘wellness’ into buildings, and community-level sustainability initiatives.
Alan will be speaking at the ‘Happy, healthy and productive buildings’ seminar and presenting on the WELL Building Standard® (WELL). The session will look at the benefits of wellness building design and discuss the current trends and available solutions.
WELL is the world’s first standard focused exclusively on human health and wellness. Its aim is to combine best practices in design and construction with evidence-based medical and scientific research; harnessing the built environment as a vehicle to support human health and wellbeing.
Alan will be part of a panel of representatives from RGBC, Architects Order of Romania, International WELL Building Institute, Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, Interface and Saint-Gobain Rigips.
