Alexandra Logan, Engineer, will be speaking at the HVAC Show taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 18-20 October.
HVAC is the only construction show in the UK dedicated to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, attracting an array of industry professionals, HVAC installers, contractors, specifiers and engineers.
Alex will be joining a panel event to discuss the skills and diversity gap in the industry. The session will focus on attracting and retaining people, as well as discussing what else can be done to engage more with female and BAME candidates and how they can progress to more executive positions.
Alex commented “It’s a privilege to be asked to join a panel at the HVAC show. Having a diverse workforce is important to strengthen and grow businesses, especially in today’s global marketplace. To achieve a diverse workplace, we as an industry need to make sure we have the right tools to attract and retain talented individuals. I’ll be looking forward to hearing other people views on the issue.”
Representatives from the Construction Industry Training Board, Chartered Institute of Building, British Educational Suppliers Association and Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering will also be joining the panel.
