Vince Ruane, Principal Engineer, will speaking at the Education Construction Network (ECN) at RICS on Thursday 30 May 2019.
The ECN is a networking organisation for professionals working within the education sector of the construction industry.
The topic for the morning is the optimum size for general teaching spaces. Vince will be speaking about key principles related to daylighting, acoustics and ventilation (including overheating) for classrooms, and how these impact the classroom geometry. Vince will touch on how these different elements have changed over time, and what the latest in good practice is for these different elements. He will also speak about how parametric modelling and digital engineering can assist engineers in analysing and optimising classroom design.
