Guest Speaker: Digital Construction Week, London, 18-19 October 2017

Andrew Parkin, Partner and Global Head of Acoustics, will be speaking at Digital Construction Week 2017 as part of the Visualisation Theatre on 19 October 2017.

Digital Construction Week is a two day conference running on 18-19 October, dedicated to digital construction, engineering, design, manufacturing, and operation. In 2017, the conference will cover 6 key trends associated with innovation, technology and the digital transformation of the Built Environment.

Andrew will be covering ‘Seeing the invisible: acoustics in virtual reality’. Andrew’s presentation will discuss the evolution of design due to technological advances and demonstrate his vision of how acoustic design has changed for the benefit of everyone involved in the process.

He will talk about the importance of communicating options for acoustic solutions in a way that can be understood. He will explain how technology enables us to accurately predict how a space will sound, before it is built or refurbished with the aid of Cundall Virtual Acoustic Reality® allowing the involvement of stakeholders and design teams in the acoustic decision making based on factors that everyone can understand.
