David Brownstein, Graduate Engineer, hosted a series of workshops for first year architecture students at the University of Edinburgh.
The workshops, which ran through throughout March, focused on sustainability in the built environment at a number of levels – from development down to the building fabric. Topics included assessing existing buildings for their environmental sustainability, designing buildings in response to their climate, low carbon construction methods and thermal environments. The half-day workshops took place on Wednesdays and Thursdays on the 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th of March.
David is an alumni of the University of Edinburgh and has given talks for organisations such as SEDA and Falling Walls.
