Overheating causes major issues in residential dwellings. Several new developments have reached internal air temperatures in excess of 40°C.
Join Cundall to discuss the benefits of co-ordinated design and how we can mitigate overheating as temperature rises.
Jennifer Elias, Sustainability Engineer will present an overview of the issue and outline the causes of overheating in new residential developments. Then Adam Cooke, Principal Acoustics Consultant, will discuss the potential noise impacts and the mitigation measures. Finally Mark Chapman, Director of Air Quality will cover why summer periods lead to more pollution and the associated timeframes.
New and existing residential developments are already struggling to provide comfortable environments for their occupants. We must act now to make sure all new developments are able to provide comfortable environments now and in the future, in the face of rising global temperatures.
