Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Lewis Morgan and I am a Senior Mechanical Engineer working in the Birmingham office.
What or who inspired you to be an engineer?
The standard secondary school story of maths and physics being one’s strongest subjects and naturally leading to engineering is one very applicable to myself. Also, the thought of not spending my entire working life in the office, as well as seeing the world, was also a tempting prospect.
What made you decide to join Cundall?
The atmosphere of the Birmingham office was open and welcoming when I attended the interview, and their attitude towards quality and sustainability was impressive.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The technical aspect of the job, designing and calculating different types of systems is what I found most enjoyable. Having to deal with the practicalities of installation and being able to actually see your own design and specifications implemented on site is also interesting and rewarding.
Tell us the most interesting thing you have learnt or experienced in your time at Cundall
Biting the bullet and spending close to a year in Cundall’s Singapore office working on local projects. Spending time with the team there as well as local contractors was very illuminating and worthwhile. Experiencing a different way of life was a highlight for me during my time at Cundall.
