Ozak Esu

Electrical Engineer

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Who are you and what do you do?
I am Ozak Esu. I am an Electronic and Electrical Engineering graduate from Loughborough University. I joined Cundall in November 2014 in the Birmingham Office. I design electrical services and engineer sustainable solutions for buildings.

What or who inspired you to be an engineer?
The energy and power crisis in my country, Nigeria, inspired me to study Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Loughborough University. At University I learnt about renewable energy and it developed my interest in sustainability which is at the core of the work I do at Cundall.

What made you decide to join Cundall?
My passion for sustainable living and Cundall’s commitment to sustainability. Also, at the time I applied I was rounding off my PhD and I was seeking an intellectually stimulating profession which allowed me work with and influence a wide-range of people, think outside-the-box and provide innovative and creative designs and solutions.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
I enjoy the work flexibility and project variety I have been able to get involved in. I also enjoy the focus and support given towards developing my personal and professional skills since joining Cundall.
