Paul is a specialist in structural design. He is one of three partners responsible for managing the Structural team in the Newcastle office and is also responsible for maintaining and raising standards of structural engineering throughout the practice as a whole.

In addition to leading projects, Paul focuses on retail and residential sector. He specialises in the design of substructure and superstructure solutions utilising all building materials including concrete, steel, masonry and timber.

Paul began his engineering career in 1987 with Greener Whitehouse Associates and worked on a wide range of new build industrial, retail, educational and residential projects including structural surveys and refurbishment of existing buildings before joining Cundall in 1995. He joined the practice as a graduate engineer and became a Partner in 2013.

He has two children and is a lifelong Newcastle United supporter. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving and breeding rare and unusual tropical fish and dart frogs.

Cobalt Data Centres 2 & 3

Cobalt DC2 and DC3 are the first data centres in the UK to achieve a BREEAM 'Outstanding' rating and are developed in line with the end building uses. The buildings complement the first data centre that was completed in August 2010.
