Julian is a chartered building services engineer and Fellow of CIBSE with 30 years’ experience designing high performance buildings and low carbon neighbourhoods around the globe. Originally qualifying as a Mechanical Engineer from Auckland University of New Zealand, he later worked across a number of high profile design practices, leading teams and projects.
He has worked on a stellar list of high performance projects around the world including; the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Parkview Battersea Power Station scheme and Gatwick Airport Pier 6. Julian’s focus will be on building performance and optimising design quality with a particular emphasis on high end, architecture led lifestyle projects.
A judge for the Construction News sustainable company of the year category for the past five years and currently judging the 2016 RIBA London Regional Awards, Julian is highly regarded for his insight to where construction industry best practice rests and where the challenges are.
Julian has designed and built his own PassivHaus and is a yacht racing skipper during the weekends.
